What does an Assure comprehensive roof assessment cover?

At Assure Roof Surveys, we use a comprehensive roof assessment framework to guide all our roof inspections.

It covers the roof coverings and the details that help keep a property weatherproof.

Where present, visible and accessible our assessed roof areas and components include:

• pitched roof coverings;

• flat roof coverings;

• ridges;

• hips;

• verges;

• eaves;

• valleys;

• roof underlay;

• battens;

• flashings;

• chimneys;

• ventilation;

• dormers;

• parapets;

• fascias and soffits;

• gutters and downpipes and

• internal loft spaces

We also assess porches, extensions, outbuildings and other roof features where they are included in the agreed survey. What we can inspect depends on access, safety and the type of survey booked.

For an agreed invasive survey, we may lift selected tiles or slates where it is appropriate, safe and practical to examine what lies beneath.

We then summarise our findings and recommendations, supported by photographs, so you can understand what we found and what action may be needed.
